I realize the film was made early on, but I believe that there were artistic people around at that time as well. Unfortunately, none were involved in the making of this thriller. Too much shouting, too much confined smoking, staring, blank looks, wasted scenes, and I honestly thought Lorre was a cameo

Perhaps one of the biggest all time abominations ever to be put onto film this film completely lack character and imagination. As a silent film enthusiast I cannot in good consciousness rate this film positively.
